Holding onto the days foregone
will only impede us from meeting
what waits for us on the other side of the road.
Let bygones be bygones,
The new moments must be embraced in greeting;
For, in the present we are to board.
Bade an adieu to the olden days
I forged ahead—to the upcoming days:’tis a bode.
No longer to the past, powers I accord,
Only a chanting from my lips, “Come what may,
I shall fight along.”
Defeats may kiss my feet from time to time;
Ought to be worthwhile, the fruit after the climb.
