The whitewashed wall in front of my eyes—
A cynosure for this night and every.
The shadow of mine;
My only witness for now:
Of my musings that wanders off to someplace unknown.
Frightens me at times,
For, I can’t leash what’s unleashed for once and for all.
Raptures me sinuously and captures me eventually:
To a whole new world, my eyes are cast on.
Ingénue, I may look if someone sets their eyes on—
But to the universe inside my head, they have no idea of.
And I lose myself in this labyrinth;
Plethora of opulence; wealthy in imagination.
A collage in making:
Shaded and jaded;
Eclipsed from reality, I might be,
But captivated by this wonderland, I created—
and vanquished my demons for the night.
An Old English word meaning
‘lying awake before dawn and worrying’
Often times we lie awake and brood over our thoughts and we create a whole new world out of it. Worries end up taking a part in fantasies and too many ‘what ifs’ are pondered upon. I’m off to La La Land most of the time before dawn!
