Venereous

The pots of paint acts as an 
aphrodisiac in your remembrance.
Oh, how the fresh paint glistened on you 
skin by the soft caress of the moon; 
delighted me, made me swoon.
Oh, how those hues embellished your flesh
on those peppery nights, 
summoning me, calling me over to you.
All those memories,
I shall always cradle within me.
It was only the yesteryear 
and I still remember as if it was today.
But alas, your sweet kisses, 
your soft caresses,
the hot sweaty nights of passionate 
coupling were not enough for me.
My heart was notorious, 
always seeking; demanding for more.
While you satiated my body’s craving
my heart, my soul yearned 
for more—everlasting.
My mind, suffocating with the thought; 
only if it could weave some more memories,
memories of you, with you.
I plummeted deep, drowning in the vastness
which I thought was your love;
tried to create something out of your leftovers,
but all I ever did was sink in the process.
When I looked back, my eyes cast above—
I saw you, merrily floating on the shallow end
leaving my heart in tatters;
and here I am now,
lamenting over the remnants.
